Posted in Fashion / Accessory trends / Clothing & Accessories / Fashion blog / Fashionable accessories We have put it in our hair and on our nails with reckless abandon, so shocking is probably the last word that comes to mind when this trend has seamlessly (pun intended) extended to our legwear. Whether you want to go bold with bright colored stems or add subtle panache to your look this season, ombré tights are a choice that falls somewhere between the overt sensuality of gartered or elasticized thigh-highs and the childlike playfulness of colorfully printed tights. Says designer Tiffany Ju: “They’ve been popping up in my illustrations for awhile but I felt the timing was right to make them. Personally, I love dressing in black and also shoes. I thought ombré tights would be a perfect compliment to both – an accent color and a way to draw attention to your killer footwear.” Article continues . Fred & Ginger: lingerie like candy
April 8th, 2012
admin Posted in Fashion / Clothing & Accessories / Fashion blog / Lingerie & underwear When trends like edible pastel colours and 50s fashion bubble to the surface, it’s not only fitting but completely opportune that the eyes of most every lingerie brand would light up. Unlike the types of trends that centre on the hard and fetishist, 2012 gives all things feminine a popularity boost (feminine, not necessarily girly – beware the distinction). Fred & Ginger’s spring 2012 collection of lingerie offers itself up with an inkling of that retro pin-up vibe, but in cuts one could only describe as very modern. No high waists here: bikini briefs and bras given a reworking into soft colours and softer fabrics. Article continues . Forget Me Not: mystery and mythology
March 27th, 2012
admin Posted in Fashion / Clothing & Accessories / Fashion blog / Fashionable accessories Forget Me Not skillfully fuses the definition of edgy elegance with graphic artistry. The latest collection for the spring 2012 season is saturated with vivid splashes of color combined into imaginative visions of the universe, abstract patterns and surrealistic collages. The line entitled “ Nefertiti ” is highly influenced by an Ancient Egypt theme with the focus on Egyptian mythology. The exposure of the ancient deities is visible through the graphic emblems of ancient eagles and symbolic eyes of RE. The collection is also inspired by the early Russian avant-garde including artistic direction of constructivism and suprematism on the helm. The graphic abstractions merge in the convention of artistic montage forming the diversity of kaleidoscopic patterns, spiral shapes and bold colors. Article continues . Win: an Eau Paix Vie baby-blue bikini
February 9th, 2012
admin Posted in Fashion / Bikinis & swimwear / Clothing & Accessories / Fashion blog Aesthetically there’s only so much you can do with swimwear to differentiate – particularly if you goal is to produce products that actually lend themselves to such practical activities as swimming or running around on the beach (and let’s face it, not all swimwear is made for swimming). So instead of aiming for the avant garde, the girls behind Eau Paix Vie distinguish themselves via simple philosophy. Woven into every bikini is their sense of adventure, lust for travel, belief that life in general – and summer in particular – is about having fun. In the brand’s own words, they’re looking to “invoke the happiness, good feelings and fun that come only from a beautiful summers day at the beach.” Each bikini is made from imported italian fabrics and other fabrics hand sourced around the world. We have one Eau Paix Vie bikini to give away. Read on for details. Article continues . To read it in full visit ‘ Win: an Eau Paix Vie baby-blue bikini ‘ at Fashionising.com

February 9th, 2012
admin Posted in Fashion / Clothing & Accessories / Fashion blog / Fashionable accessories Think of all those little treasures, scattered across the world: a stash of emerald-green beads, a sunshine yellow resin flower, the plumes of an exotic bird… With a magpie’s curiosity and a keen imagination, jewellery designer Wendy Powitt travels the world collecting together those little treasures before returning home to re-shape them into more contemporary accessories. The latest collection from her label, Ghost & Lola, is an eclectic yet ultimately feminine mix of such motifs as soaring birds and blooming flowers. Modelling these limited edition pieces for the collection’s look book is Robyn Lawley, styled with the kind of soft, bouncy waves and flicked-out eyeliner that are the perfect on-trend accompaniments to the feminine accessories.
